I left Corfu nearly three weeks ago. I was there for about five weeks and never did the day trip to Albania I’d intended to do. It was a thing with the ferry schedule, and there was another thing with my work schedule, and in the end time just ran out. That’s not my first time not going to Albania as planned; you may remember I told you a few weeks ago about that earthquake in 2019. Albania is turning into a matter of unfinished business for me, it seems.
You might say my visit to Prague in 2016 was the settling of unfinished business. When I lived in Germany—that was back in 1999-2000—I went to Poland with a couple of friends for a few days of vacay. (Daniela had “borrowed” the car from work without letting her boss know she’d taken it for a multi-day cross-border road trip. I’m not sure how she later explained the damage to the rear bumper from a fender bender at an intersection in Wrocław.)
