Some seasons of life are delightful, some are exhilarating or challenging. Occasionally, we go through a season where the best we can do is take comfort in remembering that nothing lasts forever. Events of this past month in North America have put me in that frame of mind; but I’d be callous if I didn’t acknowledge that folks around the world have at various times—probably since the beginning of time—been going through such seasons.
