I thought UNESCO was all about identifying places with cultural or historical significance. Newfoundland has five UNESCO sites. Remember what they are? First person to name all five in the comments gets a prize.

Here’s a fun thing I learned this week. In addition to its list of significant locations, UNESCO also has a list of “cultural practices and expressions of intangible heritage.” They’re not just about places you can visit—they’re also about ways of life.
